I wrote “Incorruptible” as my father was grappling with Alzheimer’s not long before he passed. I believe in the resurrection of the dead and the life for the world to come, so I found myself reflecting on life after death for my dad, body and spirit. “Incorruptible” draws from Biblical passages on the resurrection of the dead and Handel’s “The Trumpet Shall Sound.” “Ashes in the cold hard ground, nothin’s gonna hold us down on that day” when Love renews all of Creation.
